Try East Cobb if you want the best public school system. The high school, Walton, is one of the best public schools in the entire nation. Expect to pay around 400k+ for a house though. The area is also very very safe.

Norcross GA is a very nice area. Also the Roswell Area. Good Luck!

those are criterias that cannot be met, we have to be realistic

low crime rate usually means high priced residential area

high crime rate is rental area with low priced homes

Take a look at Suwanee, Ga. It is located about 35 miles north of the city and was recently voted #10 by Money Magazine as one of the top places to live in the country.

Vinings… it is beautiful. It has everything you need, too and it’s only 15 minutes from the city. If you don’t mind traffic you should try anywhere in gwinnett. The standards of living there are very high and the schools are nice, too.

I’m with the first responder – Cobb county – West Cobb is growing, East Cobb is maxed out. Best schools, low crime rate, affordable houses.

Walton isn’t the only great school in Cobb, and the money is going to West Cobb – i.e. Kennesaw, Powder Springs, West Marietta. Just don’t go as far as Smyrna or Austell.

Harrison High School rocks. So does McEachern High School in Powder Springs, it was privately funded and has a foundation grant that supports it. It is the second largest High School in Cobb County – check it out.

(My ex sister-in-law moved to the McEachern district just so her kids could go to school there.)

As for crime – remember, Kennesaw has a “heads of households must own a firearm” statute.

As for Roswell (in Fulton County) if the schools were that great, my friends wouldn’t be sending their kids to private schools. :P

DeKalb County Schools used to be top notch, Lakeside and Druid Hills area – I don’t know if they still are.
