Also why don’t they like one another. I know it’s a rivalry of the Empire State and Empire state of the south, but why?
Anyways, I perfer Atlanta, I was born and raised in the southern city with an incredible history and amazing sights, where as New Yorkers accents are a little annoying and they can have a bit of an attitude. And they think people in Atlanta are just country slumbags, but that is not true, Atlata a city just like any other, not a town, big diffrence. Places like Savannah and Macon GA are big towns with country accents and lifestyles. The dialects are very diffrent in GA, whereas every New Yorker I hear talk has the same annoying one and they come from all diffrent parts. I do have a few friends from up New York but not many and the ones I am friends with have made Atlanta their home and don’t plan on going back so. New York may get more attention, but If I had to choose between the two, Atlanta would be my first pick, no doubt.

new york bc its better and its where all the parties are
ATLANTA thats where i stay!yay for me!
No, New York is definitly better. We have Broadway, The Yankees, and we don’t have funny accent like you southern hillbillies and rednecks. And the reason we all sound the same is cause we all talk to eac h other and live near each other, not on mile-wide plantaions.lol.
I too was born and raised in Hot ‘Lanta, I love it here, but in all fairness New York is a great city, too. I love different accents, so don’t be ripping on people who do not talk like you. Be the true polite Southerner that I know you are.
Yeeeeeessssss Siiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!! Atlanta by far is the place to be. I have my own business and I use to live their and I told a few friends, and guess what they are still so supportive. Like someone said above if you are into partying nothing beats the 24hour state of New York, but for real food, healthy air, great friends that support you no matter where you move then duh. I own Bigdoggpinc online and I am a very cool Kat so no matter where I go that quality follows me.
Both cities have their strengths. Atlanta is a true Southern classic. New York is America’s center of commerce, fashion, publishing, tourism, communications etc.
I was born in Georgia and lived in Atlanta for 12 years. I have been to New York once, and I prefer Atlanta. The people are much nicer in Atlanta. I thought New York was very dirty and polluted. There was smog there that was much worse than in Atlanta. I live in North Georgia now and I much prefer the rural life to the urban life. It is safer, the air is cleaner, the people are even friendlier.
